He takes lots of photos, receives lots of photos by email, and occasionally has to prepare a document or two, such as writing a letter or filling out a form. This computer takes up so much less space than his old desktop, and has so many fewer loose cords, that he is ecstatic with how much less flustered it makes him. He thinks the wireless keyboard is particularly cool.And, I liked it enough while I was setting it up for him, that I decided to order one for myself, for my next desktop. I have been using an old laptop since my old desktop died, and the laptop really isn't quite sufficiently versatile for the things I do - writing music using special software, preparing newsletters for organizations I'm in - I need something with a full keyboard including 10-key pad, not just a laptop... After just waiting too long for my programs to open, I decided it was time for an upgrade so I started my homework. I'd been eyeing the touchscreen desktops for awhile, and finally the model I wanted went on super sale at a big box store, so this is the one I bought! First, I got home, set up this massive desktop/screen, get it all hooked up and started and.......the touchscreen feature is DEAD. I call HP, they didn't really care that I'd wasted so much time going to a store, getting home, setting it up - finding it doesn't work - boxing it up, going back to a store(oh wait! The screen is huge....great for movies. The touch screen is amazing; it works just like my tablet and is awesome for games as well as surfing. Have had absolutely no problems and shipping was extremely fast. The monitor is rather heavy although it doesn't weigh any more than a tower and the space freed up by not having a tower is wonderful. Fingerprints are not even noticeable. Have owned this PC for a couple of months and highly recommend for anyone who loves using their touch screens on other electronics. |
