I have read the specs of the new models for 2009 under FM usuable sensitivity, the tuner might not seem to be as strong as the previous ones in the past. From last year on back to the five or six years (all models), the FM usuable sensitivity was measured at 8dBf(best) which indicates it's ability to pull in weaker stations, the lower the number, the better. The new 2009 models are measured at 11dBf and the higher end models are rated at 9dBf, which is not as good as 8dBf. With the economy the way it is, I wonder if Pioneer is cutting corners on it's Supertuner? I don't see anything super about that!!! |
