Being able to change the colors to match cockpit lights is great, and makes the unit look stock. Works flawlessly with ipod/iphone, and surprisingly well with bluetooth devices (I bought the additional adapter, you can find it for around $100 on the web). I was able to pair my Fiancees Android phone and stream music via bluetooth no problem, as well as make and receive calls without skipping a beat.The sound quality of the unit is great! It definitely delivers more power to the speakers than the stock unit I had, the music transmits crisp and floats correctly between the tweeters, mids, and base. Sounds like I bought a whole new system for my car. The controls are fairly easy. The only reason this didn't get 5 stars is lack of support for formats other than MP3/WMV in USB-flash mode (itunes likes to use AAC), and awkward navigation in head unit mode with ipods. The supplied intallation sleeve and trim made the intallation a snap. The features I like the most is the intuitive menu, the parmetric equalizer, the operation of the USB/MP3 interface and the powerful built-in amp. The buttons are nice and big and well laid out and the volume knob is big and substantial. It fit perfectly in the dash with no conversion kits or anything and only took ten or fifteen minutes to wire up. Sound quality is excellent and the USB input and aux input jack make hooking up other items like laptops and iPods a snap. Super stereo for the price! |
