After much research I once again wound up at Sony`s doorstep.The one thing I was leery of was the display, my eyes are really light sensitive at night and I couldn`t find anything in the specs that said the background could be turned off and I don`t need any swimming Dolphins or random cityscape up in my face at night since the head unit mounts squarely in the middle of the dash. I took a chance anyways and HAPPY DAY! the menu has an option for.......Display Off, with this enabled you have no wallpapers or distracting movies just track info (and the clock which try as I may cannot be turned off) The annoying beep on the other hand can also easily be turned off Another great surprise I found out after unpacking it was that they put one... Besides that this unit is excellent! 7 of 8 people found the following review helpful works well with usb mp3s, This review is from: Sony CDXGT930UI CD Receiver - Black (Electronics) worked on a 2009 nissan frontier; se crew cab; w/o fosgate radio.cons: no direct buttons for radio stations. as is, cannot turn off faceplate warning beep when ignition turned off. pros: radio stations sound better than stock radio. for mp3s, lists artist, album, song, folder #, song #, time playing. 2gb usb loads fast; within a few seconds playing music. can shuffle full usb device or just a folder. eh: menu navigation not too bad - for a radio. control knob takes some getting used to. control knob is fairly stiff so few accidental selections. faceplate warning beep: when the ignition is turned off, 5 seconds later, the radio emits 2 beeps, 3 times, through the speakers - every time; very annoying. the beeps are supposed to remind you to take your precious faceplate out of your vehicle. while you can turn off the menu/knob beeps, this sony 'feature' can not be turned off. you...
