This computer is so awesome. The screen is HUGE. Which is nice with my poor vision. The keyboard is very nice; its superthin, has the number keypad on the right side, the keys type very smoothly. It even has a volume button on the keyboard. The computer itself is powerful, fast, runs smoothly. i can have 8 internet windows open and it doesn't even phase it. Couldn't do that with my 2gb laptop. The touchscreen is handy for when you want to scroll without fumbling with the mouse. The mouse itself is wireless, has scroll wheel on top. The sound on this computer is like no other computer I've ever seen. I often find myself turning the volume down cuz its so loud! What's also nice is there is only one cord to plug in. It's a little pricey but worth every penny. All in all I'm very very happy with this computer.

I love this computer!!! It has now worked flawlessly for months and could not perform or look better on my desk. Even if you never use the touchscreen (which I do), it's all-in-one package design is marvelous! I would highly recommend this product!

DVD was invented in 1995 & it's taken more than 10yrs to perfect the DVD player. The early DVD players all suffered from the same problems that plague Bluray players of today. They were plagued with slow loading times & they came locked - region coded. Even today, there are a lot of DVD players out there that are region coded & they need to be hacked, if U intend to play international DVDs.

The Pioneer DV-610AV is a true universal DVD player because of the following reasons:

1) Out of the box, this player comes unlocked. It plays DVDs from all 6 DVD regions.
2) Universal power supply, it works on both 110V - 220V. It comes with two power chords, one with the N. American flat pin & the other one has the Asian (Chinese) round pin. It can be plugged anywhere in the world with the help of the right pin / plug adaptor.
3) It plays almost all formats other than High Definition formats such as Bluray. It even plays DVDA & SACD.

This player is quite amazing. I use HDMI output for video, and 2-channel analog output for audio (with digital audio turned off). The audio is connected to a tube pre-amp and MOSFET amp. SACDs (stereo layer) sound sublime on this player, and CDs are very crisp. Note that it down-samples 5.1 digital audio to stereo. One great feature is that it remembers where you stopped the DVD after turning it off. The picture quality up-sampled to 1080p is fantastic. The on-screen menus are well laid out. The player has buttons to do whatever you want without a remote. I was deciding between this and a blu-ray player, and decided on the 610 since most blu-ray players apparently do not up-sample DVDs very well. Unlike the 610, they also do not play SACDs or Audio-DVDs (unless you're willing to pay hundreds of dollars for one that does). Even if I end up buying a blu-ray player, this one won't be put away. This model is one of the latest Eurepean models (check on pioneer's .eu site).

Fantastic value for money, easily the best bargain i've bought in years. The audio quality via H.D.M.I is first class the video was very good but not top quality when upscaling from DVD. However as an all-rounder for SACD / CD / DVD Audio it is impossible to beat!

I'm fairly happy with this unit's performance. No head unit will have everything you want, but this came close in some areas, nailed it in some areas, and was mediocre in others. I needed a DD unit for my car because the stock unit is DD. I single DIN unit would have looked spartan in the dash.

PRO:
1. Has both USB and AUX in on front panel.

2. Has a clean built in amp at 20wts RMS and a 24 bit DAC converter.

3. Has subwoofer control in panel allowing you to adjust what DBs go to the sub, such as 185, 90, and I think something like 45, which is explained in the manual, and this is read out on the LCD panel as High, Medium, and Low. Both Crutchfield and JVC said the additional Bass, Treble, and Midtone adjustments DO NOT affect the subwoofer out. This means that you can use your stock speakers in your car as midrange and treble and line out the bass to your subwoofer. Or, adjust a smaller amount of bass to your other speakers while not affecting... Read more

I have always been a Pioneer or Kenwood guy because you know they are high quality. But I thought I'd take a chance on JVC because this player had everything I was looking for at a great price. I put this head unit into my '06 Mustang GT and with the previously upgraded Infinity Reference speakers I am extremely pleased!

I wanted a Double Din CD/MP3 player with an Aux-In and USB port on the front. Not only did the XG-700 have those options but I loved the user interface. I like the knob for easy volume control and the large buttons buttons. Station presets on the left and other function buttons on the right. The LCD screen has a large and bright readout and the display is very easy to read. The USB option worked quickly and I had not problems plugging my MP3 playter into the Aux-In.

Sound quality is a 100 times better from stock speakers and head unit, of course. Installation was a relative breeze and the fit is perfect.

This unit had all the features that I wanted in a double-DIN headunit. The only thing I would improve is the trim piece that is included was not wide enough for fitment in my Acura, and I had to glue an extra piece of black plastic behind the included trim to fill the 1/8" space on each side. The other minor complaint that I deducted was its somewhat weak tuner section with was not as good as my provious unit, a Pioneer. I noticed some stations had static at some places in my neighborhood which previously were clear. Otherwise, I think this is a great double-DIN headunit for someone who does not want a touch-screen, and who want real buttons.
